  2. I have this page bookmarked and tend to link my friends who ask about why I'm drawing ponies lately or how they can get into it. This is a valuable collection.

  3. These are great resources. I just wish there was a male one.

  4. Awesome!!

Though, does this appy when drawing male ponies?

    ReplyDelete

  5. Still no help with the wings though. That's what I have the worst trouble with.

  6. I found this on Ponibooru a week or so ago - it's a deluxe pony reference sheet which I find helps me VERY much.

Hope I am able to help some fellow bronies!

  11. So how do i draw so it looks professional/believable like in the show or like the Pinkazoid one

    ReplyDelete

  12. Are there any tutorials for the wings?
I've been drawing ponies since October and I've never made any headway on the wings.

  13. This is amazing. I can actually draw Poni now! you don't want to see what I had before though. seriously.

  14. "KEEP THE NOSE TINY"

I read that in a Drill sergeant voice.

  15. For those on the fence about trying to draw a pony: My teacher says that my writing is hardly legible but my first drawing came out amazing. Try it and i guarantee that it will come out better than you expected.

  16. So . . uh . . . when will we get a pegasus wings tutorial? ;)

    ReplyDelete

  17. I still think that the hardest part of a pony is the mouth/snout. Especially if it's smiling showing its' teeth, damn it's hard

    ReplyDelete

  18. Could someone post the size proportion between a mare and a filly? thanks

    ReplyDelete

  19. @Anonymous
    my first was crap also!
Then i read the guides, used references to draw another. 'It' looked bad.

And to those on the fence (like I was), as long as you don't try, you can still tell yourself that you might be able to draw a proper pony, but once you pick up that pencil, you can't fool yourself anymore.

    ReplyDelete

  26. This will really boost me a lot. I just bought Manga Art Studio and might pick up a drawing tablet and this is exactly what I needed.

    ReplyDelete

  27. This looks useful. I'll definitely be using it.
Also, it looks like the "Poni coloring guide 3" link is broken.

  30. Still having difficulty finding the drawing program everypony's using. I can only draw on paper so far. Vegeta pony FTW

    ReplyDelete

  31. @Rarity's Augar Many people use different programs for their art. Many use Adobe Photoshop, or Illustrator for vectors. Others use free programs like Gimp, or Inkscape for vectors. Other programs artists common;y use include SAI, Art Rage, and Paintshop Pro, though I've never tried these myself.

  32. somepony posted a tutorial on how to make a unicorn magic glow thing http://zutheskunk.deviantart.com/art/Inkscape-Tutorial-Unicorn-s-Magic-Glow-283751963

  33. So very useful. Anyone have a reference guide that show ponies from a large multitude of angles? I kind of stink at perspectives...

"image cannot be displayed, it contains errors"

  41. I'm wishing there was a chart depicting the proportional differences between male and female ponies. It's proved to be a major stumbling block when drawing OC ponies.

    ReplyDelete

  49. As great as these tutorials are, they do not apply well when drawing male ponies.

    ReplyDelete

  50. @MasterBrony117
There's a difference? Man, this sucks... I was going to try my hand at this whole Bronies-thing and now I'm reading there's other versions... Ugh. Any idea where I can look for the male pony tutorials?

    ReplyDelete

  51. even though i have most of this in the the bag, i still cant do the colt faces. some assistance on drawing colts please

    ReplyDelete

  52. I'm having a bit of an issue; I want to draw a character from directly above her/him, but I can't find any images or resources to help with that... Does anyone have anything? I'm sure there was at least one shot in the show with this kind of perspective...
